This captivating, bizarre story of love, mystery and heartbreak begins in a small town in northwestern Arkansas in the year 1872. The prominent, respected and well likeddoctor of this small town leaves his office one morning to make a house call and doesn’t return for eight years. This intriguing story explains the reason for this mysterious disappearance, the unusual life he experienced during those eight years, andthe chaos created when he eventually found his way home. Many of his experiences also reveal the hardships and mistreatment experienced by the American Indian during this period of American history. Although this story was inspired by actual events, it should be considered a book of fiction. For reasons of confidentiality, names have been changed and any resemblance to persons, living or dead is entirely coincidental. Certain characters, places and incidents are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously.
