This collective monograph examines the genre-style phenomena of the history of Ukrainian and world music. The scientific publication presents the results of the unique many years of historical, theoretical and performing experience of the scientific and pedagogical workers of the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music. Essays on the history of world music have a personalistic orientation, which implies an emphasis on the author’s point of view. Various musicological processes of genre-style features of prominent eras of music history are highlighted. The monograph is a summary of the scientific and research activities of higher school teachers as an important component of modern art education.
