Quando la malattia entra nella vita di una persona, non suona il campanello, non bussa alla porta, non chiede permesso. Entra, punto e basta. È silenziosa e discreta, ma poi all’improvviso esplode, devasta, distrugge e polverizza tutto ciò che incontra sulla sua strada. Un fenomeno della natura incontrollabile e sicuramente non prevedibile. Una ricerca-analisi sull’insorgenza, la progressione e l’evoluzione della rara malattia di Creutzfeldt-Jakob. Una testimonianza reale vissuta e vista con gli occhi di una figlia, sulla malattia del suo papà e le conseguenze tangibili che hanno investito e segnato la propria famiglia. Il passaggio dalla cura continua ed ininterrotta al distacco eterno. La morte e la molteplicità di reazioni fisiche, emotive, spirituali. Il lutto ed il processo di elaborazione del dolore, delle reazioni vissute nel dire addio a una persona cara. C’è chi riesce a gestire con le proprie forze una vita cambiata e chi resta nello smarrimento e nello sconforto; chi cerca l’aiuto di uno psicologo, di uno psichiatra o di un sacerdote e chi sana il cuore ferito attraverso la condivisione della sofferenza con altre persone provate da dolori analoghi. Molte persone ricorrono a tranquillanti o ansiolitici per ridurre l’ansia, a sonniferi per riuscire a dormire, ad antidepressivi per affrontare i momenti più bui. Io ho deciso di scrivere.
