Patients with uni-compartmental osteoarthritis, good knee range of movement and patients without any instability of knee. The patients should followed up clinically and radiographically at regular intervals. Parameters like pain, knee society scoring and Japanese orthopedic association rating scale should be assessed pre and post- operatively. The medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy with proximal tibia locking plate reports good outcomes functionally and radiographically in patients with degenerative arthritis of knee. Suitable patient selection, accurate indication, better pre-operative plan and precise surgical technique are necessary to obtain excellent results.
