L’aggregazione nelle sospensioni colloidali dipende dal moto browniano che esiste tra le particelle colloidali in costante collisione. La teoria DLVO è una pietra miliare nell’analisi dell’aggregazione delle particelle ed è alla base della comprensione della stabilità (da cui dipende la formazione degli aggregati) nelle dispersioni colloidali. Le forze elettrostatiche a doppio strato e le forze di van der Waals sono le principali forze interagenti che influenzano la formazione degli aggregati. In questo progetto si considerano i fattori che influenzano la formazione di aggregati nelle dispersioni colloidali, tra cui il pH, la concentrazione di sale, la distribuzione delle dimensioni delle particelle e la viscosità. L’influenza di questi fattori viene analizzata in questo libro. Spero che le conoscenze condivise siano utili per la comprensione delle forze interfacciali.
