Le débat sur la production alimentaire reflète la préoccupation de différents secteurs quant à la nécessité de nouveaux investissements plus importants dans l’agriculture. Parmi les variables qui affectent cette discussion, l’importance d’une étude qui considère les effets du changement climatique sur la chaîne de production laitière, ainsi que sur la sécurité alimentaire, se fait sentir. L’objectif de cet ouvrage est d’évaluer la capacité de transmission des effets du changement climatique dans l’État de Minas Gerais sur l’élevage laitier, en mettant l’accent sur le prix et la production du lait. Les données issues du modèle appliqué ont permis d’affirmer que les variables climatiques peuvent avoir un impact positif sur l’ensemble des séries analysées, tandis que la saisonnalité est plus évidente dans certains mois. Les impacts constatés sont extrêmement importants pour évaluer la dépendance du secteur par rapport aux effets du changement climatique et la mesure dans laquelle cela peut avoir un impact sur la garantie de la sécurité alimentaire.
