When we take a broad view of Homo sapiens history, one of the most obvious things we see is the disjunct between the progress we have made in science, technology, and the arts on the one hand, and the way we treat people from cultures different from our own on the other. While that is troubling in the way we behave toward citizens of our own country, it rises to a dangerous level in our attitudes toward those from foreign lands. Here in the summer of 2025, it is no hyperbole to say that our paranoid attitudes toward those we perceive as 'others' have once again led us to the brink of world war. In Blueprint for World Peace, the author examines some of the steps we can take to change those attitudes and build a sustainable peace among nations.Paul Breer is a retired college professor who earned his B.A. (Economics) and Ph.D. (Sociology) at Harvard University. He has used his retirement to write books on topics as varied as classical music and spiritual enlightenment. A work now in progress deals with the role luck plays in human lives and the steps we can take to mitigate its impact on individual outcomes. Breer currently lives in the mountains of western Colorado. If you have questions or comments, write to paul.breer1930 @gmail.com.
