L’obiettivo di questo lavoro è studiare il processo di biodecomposizione dei rifiuti organici domestici (ROD) in reattori chiusi 'BIOLAR' e caratterizzare il compost ottenuto con metodi convenzionali e tecniche spettroscopiche. A tal fine, sono stati costruiti due biodecomposter, all’interno dei quali è stato collocato quotidianamente ROD imballato con segatura, in un volume rispettivamente del 17% e del 52%. Per monitorare il processo e caratterizzare il composto ottenuto, sono state effettuate analisi di temperatura, analisi elementare, pH, contenuto di ceneri, CTC e analisi spettroscopiche UV/Vis, IR e C13 NMR.
