I have often heard baseball referred to as a game of inches but, it is also a game ofnumbers. In no other sport do fans and writers discuss and analyze statistics asmuch as they do with baseball. There have been many books written about the Hall of Fame and the players who havebeen enshrined within its walls. Many of these books include biographical informationabout the player and their career along with a tally line of their final career statistics. What I have done is compiled all of the season by season statistics of each memberof the Hall of Fame along with some of the categories in which they led the league andawards they won. I have also included the statistics of a few players that are worthyof induction into the Hall of Fame, some who are Hall of Fame probables, and lastlysome players to continue to watch. 3
