Angelia was only ten years old when the handsome Barrone Bevore III made her acquaintance. John Carlyle was living in New York with his daughter Angelia. Her mother died in childbirth so Angelia was raised by Sylvia, a nanny hired by Angelia’s father. John Carlyle was Barrone’s lawyer for the transactions of importing wine to the United States from Italy. The marriage between Angelia and Barrone was planned by John Carlyle and Barrone Devore III. The marriage would take place on Angelia’s twenty-first birthday. Angelia was a very beautifully structured girl and Barrone was very masculine and handsome in body and soul. When Angelia was twenty, Barrone and Angelia began writing sensuous love letters to each other. Barrone adored Angelia and she adored him. She begged her father to let her marry at twenty, but that was not in the contract. Barrone lived in a thirty-room mansion in Tuscany, Italy. After the sudden, unexpected death of her husband, Angelia met Bernard Barroco while at the Vatican. The rest of the story is a wonderful surprise about the mystery of money, and also when Angelia and Bernard visit England together, and what they discover from Bernard’s mother about Barrone.
