Esta segunda edição perfez uma completa e minuciosa revisão deveras almejada pela autora, dando um formato digno à esta notável obra literária e histórica.Lívia Paulini nasceu em Budapeste no dia 8 de agosto de 1920, falecendo em Belo Horizonte em 28 de novembro de 2021, cidade em que ancorou definitivamente com sua família na década de 1950, fundando e presidindo a Academia Feminina Mineira de Letras, entre outras instituições que protagonizaram o desenvolvimento cultural e artístico brasileiro. Formada em Pedagogia e Filosofia do Ensino pela Universidade de Gyor, obteve dupla habilitação para lecionar tanto na Hungria quanto na Alemanha. Ao chegar no Brasil, expandiu sua atuação inicialmente nas artes plásticas, incluindo pintura, desenho e tapeçaria. Na literatura, escreveu romances, poesias e mais de mil e quinhentos ensaios. Destacou-se internacionalmente com premiadas traduções, principalmente de poesias, fazendo circular obras literárias brasileiras e internacionais em português, húngaro, inglês e alemão, um trabalho que obteve reconhecimento desde o Canadá, passando pela França até Coreia do Sul.Este livro foi epigrafado por Henriqueta Lisboa e prefaciado por Lacyr Schettino.
