In the second book in the series Adventures of Jake the Snake, the story continues about the friendly snake who lives on the Mack Farm in Kentucky. In this volume, he tries to advise Freckles, the milk cow, not to try running away to join the cows on the open range in Texas. Freckles refuses to listen to Jake's advice and finds herself in serious trouble. As usual, Jake is blamed for the situation, but all comes out well in the end.Adventures of Jake the Snake books teach lessons about kindness, friendship, and cooperation as Jake continually is blamed for most everything that goes wrong on the farm. He is not guilty and only wants to be friends with all the barnyard animals.
