Recently, a number of chairside diagnostic tests have been created. The destructive process, present illness activity, disease rate, pattern, and extent, future breakdown severity, and treatment response are all covered by these tests. The doctor can treat the patient holistically rather than only as a periodontal reflection of the underlying disease if they have a thorough understanding of these issues. Clinical examination won’t be useful until the type, source, precision, and function of the possible markers are identified and understood. In order to convey relevant information about a patient’s specific periodontal disease, likely behavior, and response to therapy, significant efforts are now being undertaken to create diagnostic tests. These new diagnostic technologies may be capable of providing the dental practitioner with powerful tools that can assist in early identification of periodontal disease that can result in expediated treatment.
