His teachers included the likes of Maulana Khalil Ahmad Saharanpuri, ’Allamah Shabbir Ahmad Uthmani and ’Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri. He stood out as a scholar of hadith and tafsir, as a poet and ascetic. He was a man of learning and spent his life immersed in the study and teaching of the sacred sciences. He authored a number of books on tafsir, hadith, and Islamic theology.
