A Voice From Stonehenge, Part 1 (1847) is a historical fiction novel written by Henry Montague Grover. The book is set in the mid-19th century and follows the protagonist, Arthur, as he embarks on a journey to explore the ancient site of Stonehenge. Arthur is a wealthy and curious man who is fascinated by the mysteries surrounding Stonehenge and its history. As Arthur explores the site, he begins to hear strange voices and experiences visions that seem to be connected to the ancient stones. He soon discovers that he has been transported back in time to the era when Stonehenge was first built.Arthur finds himself in the midst of a power struggle between the Druids, who are the guardians of the site, and the invading Romans. He is torn between his desire to help the Druids and his loyalty to the Roman Empire. As he navigates this dangerous and complex situation, he must also confront his own beliefs and values.A Voice From Stonehenge, Part 1 is a gripping and suspenseful novel that combines historical accuracy with imaginative storytelling. Grover’s vivid descriptions of Stonehenge and its surroundings transport the reader back in time to a world of ancient magic and mystery. The book is the first in a series and sets the stage for further adventures and revelations about the secrets of Stonehenge. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....
