Este livro pretende evidenciar a escrita poética de A História da China nos romances de Shan Sa, uma autora chinesa de expressão francesa que utiliza a língua francesa como vector das suas raízes. O objectivo é identificar e propor uma leitura interpretativa de todas as técnicas de escrita constantes, com base no critério de recorrência no universo diegético proposto pela romancista, a fim de identificar as diferentes manifestações da história da China que caracterizam a sua escrita romanesca, inegavelmente relacionada com a história da China.
