Isolated in the rural backwater of north Bedfordshire in the late 1950s, where agriculture is still the dominant industry, a group of teenagers struggle to contain their developing characters and emotions, their high jinks causing trouble for the village.A benefactor provides them with a place to meet in an attempt to protect the disapproving community from their exuberance. Everything goes well until one of their number is trapped in a horrific situation that’s completely beyond their control.The enormity of the offence committed and the reaction of the offender shocks everyone.
