O presente artigo analisa os estereótipos de beleza que se encontram presentes numa micro-história equatoriana do escritor Eliécer Cárdenas na obra 'La Incompleta Hermosura' (A Beleza Incompleta). E, mediante o objetivo geral traçado, identificá-los-á. Quanto à metodologia utilizada, apresenta-se uma compilação bibliográfica documental, com uma abordagem qualitativa. Em conclusão, o que se conseguiu com esta investigação foi provar que os estereótipos são negativos e que também podem ser descobertos através das histórias. Por esta razão, no final do trabalho, foi feita uma proposta que consiste num ensaio académico, no qual serão detalhados todos os factores que prejudicam o ambiente social. Tudo isto para adquirir um protótipo equivocado e consumista desnecessário. Por outro lado, situa a humanidade num tempo e espaço reais, evidenciando as verdadeiras necessidades da nova era.
