DescriptionDiscover the Heartbeat of India, A Journey Through Time and Emotion. A Day in India captures the essence of India’s soul, where the simplicity of rural life unfolds in a tapestry of vivid narratives and heartfelt reflection. It offers a glimpse into the daily life of author, in a land where the sun’s rise is a daily celebration, and the rhythm of the river is a constant companion.Through the author’s eyes, experience the charm of narrow village lanes, the whispers of the fields, and the timeless flow of the rivers that have witnessed the stories of ages. From inside the bookI looked away from the sun to see the morning atmosphere; there wasn’t much activity, only birds on the trees were chatting, not moving much. I could only hear their chirping. The parrots were saying they would head east today. There’s a guava orchard, and eating those sweet fruits would be delightful. This made me crave some too. I looked at our guava tree, but there wasn’t a single ripe fruit. Then I paid attention to the sparrows saying,'Lord! If we get rice like yesterday, it would be a great blessing.'Hearing this, I laughed. So a male sparrow asked,'Why are you laughing?''At your foolishness.' I said.'What did we do?' all the sparrows chirped.'When it’s rice harvest time, you’ll only find rice in the farms. You don’t ask for rice when there’s plenty of it.''But if that’s what we want, why should we ask for anything else?' one sparrow said.'A fish doesn’t ask for water while living in it.' I said.'But we are still not like you humans. Even when you have plenty of wealth, you keep asking for more. You can’t even eat it.' the male said. Then they started discussing other matters. I shifted my attention from them and looked at the trees, which had started to open their eyes. They were telling the sun,'Lord, how can you leave us in such a cold? All creatures take shelter with us, but we are immovable beings, where can we go?'Then the sun replied,'Oh, I have gone to England. If I didn’t go there, all creatures would have turned into ice in the cold, and Canada would have been in a bad state too, so I had to go. I have to take care of them too.'
