When our colonial Founding Fathers established the Constitutional Republic that would become America’s form of government, they had a firm understanding of what is required to protect and preserve our republic for all future generations: the personal morality of every citizen. America’s founders understood the truth that the best means a person has for self-rule is adhering to the principles of Christian morality. This is why they so strongly promoted the teaching of the Bible in every school in the land. This is why they solidly supported the furtherance of biblical principles of morality in government, law, and society-at-large. In a Constitutional-Republic, the individual rules. But if the individual cannot rule himself, then the government must rule the individual. It does so by passing more laws and increasing its force until the individual’s liberties are lost. At that point the tyrannical government our founders fought against so hard to escape will have returned. This is exactly what we see happening in America today. 60 Days Praying For America provides a means for protecting and preserving the very foundation of our country.
