This book contains 100 chess puzzles and their solutions, all of which are either zugzwang or zwischenzug tactics. The puzzles are intended for players of intermediate level.Zugzwang refers to a scenario in which one player is forced to make a move although any move will worsen his position.Zwischenzug is a tactic in which a player, instead of playing directly anticipated move (usually a recapture), first interposes another move that the opponent must respond to, and then plays the expected move.
