Кадуна имеет обширную территорию и богатые природные ресурсы, обеспечивающие жизнедеятельность населения. Свидетельства изменения почвенно-растительного покрова свидетельствуют о динамичном росте поселений. Наиболее значительные изменения почвенно-растительного покрова связаны с переводом земель из сельскохозяйственного назначения в городское. По всей видимости, тенденция и масштабы изменения поселений сохранятся в связи с быстрым ростом численности населения. Для сохранения плодородных сельскохозяйственных земель в этом районе и дальнейшего снижения деградации растительного покрова и нагрузки на водные ресурсы необходимо управлять сложившейся структурой посредством эффективного планирования и управления землепользованием.
